The ECC Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing the ECC program to teach young children. They must ensure the development and safety of these children in accordance with relevant state legislation and TBESOC policies. The Teacher will be respectful of children and parents, and ensure that equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well maintained.
All personnel shall be in good health and shall be physically and mentally capable of performing assignments as stated in Department of Social Services, Title 22 Section 101216, and Personnel Requirements A-L.

ECC Teacher must maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties of a Teacher. S/he must also demonstrate the following personal attributes:
ECC Teacher would normally attain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the position through completion of a post-secondary Early Childhood Education Program combined with related day care and/or preschool teaching experience. Equivalencies will be considered.

ECC Teacher should hold a minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education and an AA degree or higher in Early Childhood Development from an accredited college or university. At least one year of classroom experience is desired.
