Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) is seeking to grow its DC-based team, and is looking for an early career professional that is eager to learn and gain experience in the nonprofit world. The responsibilities for this role will include assistance with newsletters, data entry and maintenance, office administration assistance, coordination with the organization’s DC-based marketing firm, and social media strategy and engagement. Additional responsibilities will include staffing events such as fundraising dinners, board meetings, and conferences as needed (several times a year).
As a lean organization, SACH is looking for someone who is interested in all facets of how a nonprofit runs, and is willing to take on varied responsibilities in operations, strategy, marketing, and administrative work. Reporting to the organization’s Director of Marketing and Strategy, this role will also support the organization’s donor relations, national fundraising, and strategic partnerships, and will get first-hand experience running digital fundraising campaigns.
Successful candidates should have previous experience or interest in marketing and/or non-profit strategy, donor cultivation, and communications. Responsibilities for this role will be roughly broken up as follows but are subject to change based on the organization’s needs and the applicant’s strengths: Database and Administrative Work (40%); Communication and Marketing Assistance (30%); Strategy and Fundraising (20%).
