Beth El Preschool (BEPS), part of Congregation Beth El of Montgomery County and located in Bethesda, Maryland, is seeking 1-2 engaging, responsible and caring aftercare staff members to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. These staff positions will assist in our extended day program, working with children ages 2-5. Hours are 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Monday–Friday.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children in a school, camp or childcare setting. Coursework in early childhood or elementary education is a plus, as is a degree in a related field and/or the 90-hour course in Early Childhood Education.
The ideal candidate will be confident working with young children; knowledgeable about early childhood development; able to take direction and work as part of a team; comfortable communicating appropriately with children and colleagues; and be enthusiastic about providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children.
In order to successfully perform the essential duties of this position, candidates must be able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, crouch and move around quickly. Candidates must also be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
The starting pay rate for this position is $25 per hour.
