General Responsibilities

This position is responsible for executing strategic marketing communications across multiple channels.  This includes communicating to current and potential program participants, their families, stakeholders, community leaders, organizational partners and the general public related to CYJ.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and execute the CYJ Marketing and Communications Calendar.
  2. Assign contact tasks for communications and marketing materials to colleagues and follow up on delivery.
  3. Oversee the maintenance, coordination, and use of camp databases and lists for content delivery.
  4. Plan, write, and design mass and targeted communications in both digital and print media.
  5. Develop and produce various print marketing collateral for programs and events, including flyers, fact sheets, and brochures. Coordinating content development with other team members as required.
  6. Update and enhance website pages.
  7. Plan, write, and post content to blogs.
  8. Execute and track social media activity.
  9. Manage acknowledgment of donations.
  10. Expand content concerning the camp’s fundraising and alumni activities in existing and new communications vehicles.
  11. Coordinate projects with outside vendors, including graphic designers and printers.
  12. Monitor and analyze performance metrics (web analytics, social media insights)
  13. Sending out all camper, parent, retreat, and development communications..

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Exceptional level of professionalism and accountability
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to take initiative 
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Jewish summer camps and Jewish philanthropy preferred
  • Exemplary sense of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
  • Well-organized with great attention to detail
  • Sense of humor and serious interest in having fun
Salary36,000.00 - 42,000.00 Annual
