We offer continuous study of the wisdom, history, and ritual of Judaism for children and adults, thereby instilling strong Jewish values and identity in our community, synagogue, and Jewish homes.

Temple Chaverim Religious School, is a place where we inspire children to embrace Judaism with joy, enthusiasm and pride in an educational, friendly setting.

We are currently seeking a dedicated Director of Religious School and Youth Activities to join our executive team.

We are looking for an educator with Religious School experience that enjoys working with children, families and teachers and has a strong commitment to making Jewish learning fun through an innovative process.

This is a part time, in person position (20- 25 hours a week) beginning July 1, 2026.

Our Religious School meets on Sundays and Tuesdays.

This position requires occasional evenings/meetings including some Friday night services. 

 

Jobs responsibilities include but are not limited to:

*Provide our Religious School families a welcoming environment for their children to learn about Judaism

*Creative innovator of new concepts and programs   

*Supervise all Religious School teachers and staff

*Hire faculty and keep attendance records

*Attend staff meetings, Religious School committee meetings and Board meetings

*Curriculum Development and classroom management

*Order Books and Materials

*Schedule calendar for the year 

*Plan and assist in Open House and Special Events

*Determine class lists and pairing with teachers

*Oversee budget for Religious School

 

Qualifications:

*Previous Jewish education in a leadership role

*High level of computer literacy and comfort in learning new systems

*Flexible and collaborative work style
