Hebrew Through Movement Teacher

Temple Akiba of Culver City seeks a Hebrew Through Movement Teacher for Sunday mornings and Tuesday afternoons for the 2025-2026 school year.

Hebrew Through Movement is a language acquisition strategy in which students learn Hebrew by hearing and responding to Hebrew commands. Hebrew Through Movement introduces Hebrew in a playful and meaningful way, creating a positive first link between children and Hebrew.  

A good candidate for this job is creative, flexible, patient, responsive, organized, passionate about Hebrew/Judaism, and fluent in Hebrew.

Job Details:

• Sunday mornings from 9am-12pm and Tuesday afternoons 4pm-5:30pm (we take off for school breaks and holidays)
• Complete online Hebrew Through Movement training 
• Prepare weekly Hebrew Through Movement lessons to teach to TK-5th grade in 15-minute intervals
• Infuse a love of Hebrew into our learning environment  
• Attend occasional staff meetings/professional development sessions 

Salary range is $35-65/hr. (based on experience) plus paid prep and training hours
