About the Role

Our client, Hanna Sacks Bais Yaakov (HSBY), a warm and growth-oriented Bais Yaakov high school in Chicago, is seeking an inspiring and capable leader to serve as Assistant Principal of Judaic Studies. This is a mission-critical role focused on shaping the school’s Limudei Kodesh program while fostering a culture of Torah, excellence, and student-centered growth.

The Assistant Principal will lead the Judaic Studies faculty, oversee curriculum development, and ensure a high standard of instruction and student engagement. This leader will collaborate daily with the administrative team to support students, advance faculty development, and strengthen the school’s identity and impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, supervise, and mentor Judaic Studies faculty.
  • Conduct regular observations and provide constructive, values-aligned feedback.
  • Oversee curriculum design, pacing, and instructional quality across Judaic disciplines.
  • Ensure appropriate differentiation and skill development for a range of learners.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the Kodesh department, including grading, placement, and classroom support.
  • Partner with Student Services and Student Life to meet individual student needs.
  • Collaborate with the General Studies leadership to align on professional development and school culture.
  • Serve as a key contributor to schoolwide planning, communication, and community engagement.

Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate

  • A strong Bais Yaakov hashkafa and passion for Torah learning and values.
  • Deep content knowledge in Judaic subjects and skillful, age-appropriate pedagogy.
  • Experience in faculty supervision, curriculum leadership, and instructional coaching.
  • Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a collaborative leadership style.
  • Organizational strength, warmth, and the ability to lead with both clarity and empathy.
  • A sincere desire to empower high school girls and guide them in their growth as Bnos Yisroel.
Salary85,000.00 - 120,000.00 Annual
