About Belev Echad

Founded in 2009 as an annual tour through New York City to honor wounded IDF soldiers, Belev Echad has evolved into a globally recognized nonprofit dedicated to restoring the lives of these brave heroes. Through emotional, mental, medical, legal, and financial support, we provide life-saving resources to wounded veterans—services they often can’t access on their own.

These heroes fought for Israel. Now, we fight for them.

Our programs empower soldiers and their families to heal, reintegrate, and thrive. Whether it’s mental health treatment, physical rehabilitation, or vocational reintegration, we walk alongside our soldiers every step of the way—ensuring they are supported, uplifted, and never alone.

Position Overview

Belev Echad is seeking a dynamic, driven, and mission-aligned Director of Development in acheiving our expanding annual fundraising goals. Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you’ll manage and grow a portfolio of current and prospective major donors, ensuring long-term engagement and investment in our mission.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building authentic relationships, enjoys the art of storytelling and solicitation, and is excited to make a difference in the lives of Israel’s wounded warriors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development team in implementing a strategic and sustainable fundraising plan.
  • Cultivate, steward, solicit, and upgrade donors—managing a strong pipeline of mid- to high-level partners.
  • Identify and engage new prospects aligned with our mission and values.
  • Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with donors across your portfolio.
  • Plan and execute compelling donor experiences, events, and campaigns.
  • Track progress against goals, providing regular reports and insights.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of fundraising experience, preferably with a proven record of securing major gifts.
  • A passionate advocate for Israel and Jewish causes.
  • Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A creative thinker and strategic planner who thrives on results.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, with an ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative spirit—comfortable working independently and as part of a fast-moving, mission-driven team.
Salary120,000.00 - 150,000.00 Annual
