Position Overview
The Hebrew School Intern will provide essential administrative and classroom support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of our Hebrew School program. This role is ideal for someone who loves Jewish education, is comfortable in Hebrew, and wants to gain the skills and experience to one day lead a religious school.
Responsibilities
• Classroom Support:
• Push into classrooms as needed on Sundays and Tuesdays to assist teachers and students.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group Hebrew reading/writing support when needed.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Update and maintain class lists and contact information.
• Keep Google Groups current for all classes and programs.
• Assist in drafting and distributing the monthly school newsletter.
• Maintain accurate records of late arrivals and early dismissals.
• Leadership Development:
• Learn the administrative and educational skills needed to run a religious school.
• Gain experience in programming, scheduling, and curriculum support.
• Other Duties:
• Assist with special projects, school events, and logistics as needed.
Qualifications
• Must be able to read and write in Hebrew.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort with technology (Google Workspace experience preferred).
• Friendly, flexible, and able to work well with students, parents, and staff.
• Interest in pursuing Jewish education or religious school leadership.
Time Commitment
• Sundays and Tuesdays during Hebrew School hours throughout the academic year, with possible additional hours for special projects or events.
