Sales and Outreach Coordinator @ Aleph Beta

Sales and Outreach Coordinator

About us: Aleph Beta is a growing Jewish non-profit media company producing high quality animated Bible videos and podcasts for teenagers and adults. We believe that Torah is meant to be our guide, but we don’t always know exactly how. No one reads the Bible like it’s a self-help manual, right? Aleph Beta’s mission is to read the text closely, and to discover, in surprising ways, how the Torah isn’t just a rulebook, but a guidebook, one that has profound wisdom that is relevant and meaningful in our everyday lives.

Aleph Beta is unique in that it is technically a non-profit, but we are run as a startup. Working here affords you unique opportunities to hone your skills in a lean environment, focus on growth in what is essentially a SaaS business, and feel good about what you do for a living.

About the position: This position drives sales through two key avenues: Partnerships and Producers Circle (our highest subscription tier):

The Sales and Outreach Coordinator will assess partnership opportunities and collaborate with other websites, podcasts, or other platforms that already have a large audience and determine how to expose that audience to Aleph Beta. In a similar vein, the Sales and Outreach Coordinator will leverage our content and storytelling for PR opportunities, all designed to bring traffic to our site.

The Sales and Outreach Coordinator will also lead our Producers Circle campaign bringing in Aleph Beta superfans at the highest level through creative strategies, call-campaigns, and other initiatives. The OC will create and manage our Bulk Sales program with institutions and synagogues to bring in large groups of subscribers.

Key Accountabilities:
Top of the funnel traffic
Capturing new email leads
Landing Producer Circle Sales
Obtaining Bulk Sales
Creating partnership initiatives and managing broader outreach

Experience that will be useful:
3-6 years of sales, communication, or outreach experience
Proven ability to create partnerships
Proficiency in google sheets
Experience using MailChimp
Experience with or ability to learn project management platforms like Asana
Previous experience in Jewish nonprofit work and development a plus, but not a prerequisite

Critical Competencies for Success:

Communication and Networking: Someone in this role needs to enjoy communicating with others. This is a sales job and strong sales communication skills are essential for its success. Listening is a major part of this. Sales is not about getting someone to do what you want, but about finding a way to hear what they care about and ascertain if we can provide them value.

Love for AB: The Sales and Outreach Coordinator is the external face of Aleph Beta, communicating with outside organizations over the phone, through email correspondence, and sometimes in person. As an ambassador for AB they must care about our mission and be someone others want to work and collaborate with.

Find an opening: Outreach is more than cold calling and emails. It’s about finding an opportunity to make a new connection, a new inroad, a new relationship. You will need to take initiative to go “off script” and find a way to make a partnership work.

Persistent but Kind: Creating partnerships and making sales is hard work, the OC must be persistent to land key deals and sales, but not in an oppressive “Traveling salesman” way. They must be kind and empathetic even when negotiating, fully embodying and really believing that these relationships are mutually beneficial and not manipulative.

Organized and Methodical: There will often be many moving pieces and conversations in progress across multiple people and organizations. The OC must be organized and methodical in order to stay on top of it all and report on successes and failures.

Outcome Driven: Partnerships for the sake of partnerships is not helpful, the OC must be intentional in their outreach and focus on ROI to create strong, impactful relationships that turbo charge our growth and achieve company short term goals, while setting us up to hit our 3 and 10 year targets.

To apply please send a cover letter and resume . This is a remote position.
