The Friendship Circle is a nonprofit organization serving families who have children with special needs by involving them in a full range of social, Judaic, and educational experiences.
Since 2003, Friendship Circle continues to provide a comprehensive program that:
Matches teen volunteers with special needs children and their families.
Works with teen volunteers to become mentors and role models for special needs children and their families and helps shape them into Jewish leaders for the next generation.
Develops a network of programs and services for special needs children
Provides workshops, lectures, programs and parties for parents of special needs children.
Job Summary:
The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. Director of Operations will work closely with the Executive Director and Office Manager.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Operations will be part of the Friendship Circle team. The specific job functions of this position are, but are not limited to:
Management of technical process and overseeing, the setup, the reporting (financial and program), and troubleshooting for – Salesforce, QuickBooks, MailChimp, Social Media accounts, and all other technology from installation to oversight and management.
Oversight and updating all technology for the organization including computers, copy machines and voicemail system.
Dealing with all organizational documents including loans, compliance, taxes, payroll etc.
Works with Executive Director for Donor Management including solicitations, and donor relationships.
Oversight of facility needs for the organization.
Oversight of payroll & data entry that is executed by Office Manager
Working together with Office Manager who focuses on the implementation of writing/editing, mailings, customer service, banking, data entry
Position Requirements:
Office management or equivalent experience
Organizational and time management skills
Ability to multitask.
Must exhibit attention to details resulting in excelling accuracy
Goal-oriented, able and willing to complete new challenges and take on new responsibilities
Excellent computer / technology skills and knowledge with expertise in Microsoft programs. Able to use various software applications such as Word, Excel, MailChimp, Salesforce, QuickBooks as well as social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Ability to create financial forms, reports, and marketing materials.
Self confidence and ability to work alone.
Must have quality writing skills.
The Director of Operations position is a 32 - 40 hour per week position.
Salary is commensurate with ability and experience. Temp to hire.
