Religious School Director for Reform Religious School - Part Time
Congregation Temple Judea of Bucks County, a Reform synagogue in Bucks County, Pennsylvania is looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, organized person to lead our religious school program.
The successful candidate will be:
An experienced teacher and have administrative experience at a religious school or a public school.
Knowledgeable about Jewish education, including teaching Hebrew, prayers & Judaic content, in particular Reform Jewish curricula and programming.
An effective communicator, listener, organizer & planner.
Enjoys collaborating with the teachers, parents, & congregation.
Knowledgeable with technology (such as Zoom, online resources, etc.) to enhance instruction and to foster student creativity and collaboration.
Familiar with best practices related to after-school programs.
The Education Director’s responsibilities will include:
Hiring, supervising and evaluating teaching staff; work with staff on curriculum development; create & manage school’s budget; coordinate events & programs for students & their parents.
Overseeing all aspects related to the school including but not limited to recruitment, registration, communication, procurement of materials & supplies, maintenance of student records, etc.
Working in collaboration with the Rabbi, staff, volunteers and the Vice-President of Education.
Organizing activities for the parents/families including Back-to-School Night, grade-level Shabbat services, holiday celebrations and school-wide end of year celebration.
Attending the Synagogue's monthly board meeting & work with Vice-President of Education and the religious school committee to ensure that all of the Religious School students’ needs are being met.
School days and hours - Estimated 25 hr./week
