The Women’s International Zionist Organization (WIZO) is seeking a Development Associate to support a variety of projects in and out of the office, and virtually. Development Associate will receive practical hands on experience of the entire working process of our unique organization. Associate will interact with board members, key donors and vendors. This position requires a “can do” attitude, the ability to multi-task and most importantly, the confidence to self-start. The Associate will be encouraged to learn about all aspects of managing a not-for-profit organization. Special projects may include: event planning assistance, including writing promotional announcements, working special events, researching concepts and creative materials, internet research, contacting vendors and organizing vendor information, assisting with day of logistics and with projects that involve coordinating auction/raffle and gift bags, product and donation research, and assisting with follow up. Other tasks may include proofreading, compiling and carrying out special projects and assisting the office with daily administrative tasks.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required, two-years of experience in related field preffered
• Seeking a person who is interested in fundraising, marketing, or non-profit work
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Canva, and/or Quark preferred
• Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge or similar non profit software preferred
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, strong interpersonal skills, MUST be comfortable on the phone
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to follow-through and meet deadlines effectively and efficiently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Self- starter

Donor Management
Raiser’s Edge database is used to manage constituents. Responsibility will include but is not limited to: regularly managing and updating Raiser’s Edge, including entering and editing donor contact information and running written reports
• Create and maintaining donation pages
• Develop analytic tools in partnership with the Executive Director and CFO
• Update donor contact information, constituent codes and attributes
• Enter data for new donors
• Learn query system for list management
Marketing Support
Marketing responsibilities will include: producing content for weekly e-newsletter, communicating with website manager, helping to create web site event and fundraising support content, creation of fliers and materials, managing social media accounts
• Produce content for weekly newsletter
