Role -
We are seeking a full-time professional with experience in both nonprofit communications and development to work in close partnership with our CEO. This individual will co-create communications and development strategy with the CEO. Once goals have been set, this individual will be responsible for the design and implementation of all JLW communications, and for maintaining internal development systems and processes to meet an annual fundraising target of $1 million.

Responsibilities -
Communications
1. Develop and maintain fundraising campaign and general communications calendar
2. Manage Salesforce data for mailings, emails, and donor relationships
3. Draft and manage the design of mail and e-appeals and other donor communications
4. Produce regular e-communications for program participants, donors and community members
5. Maintain website content in collaboration with web designer
6. Support programmatic staff with event promotion, recruitment strategies and refinement of written materials
7. Develop social media strategy to manage the organization’s online presence
8. Produce an annual report in collaboration with graphic designer

Development
1. Oversee Salesforce report production in collaboration with operations staff
2. Provide data analysis for development, including updates to monitor performance on goals
3. Implement donor stewardship practices through gift acknowledgement and donor mailings in collaboration with operations staff
4. Monitor and track due dates for grant proposals, reports and stewardship touchpoints
5. Draft grant proposals and reports in collaboration with the CEO and program staff
6. Research individual donor prospects as needed
7. Research potential grants for programs using Foundation Directory Online

Qualifications -
. 5-7 years professional work experience. Previous work experience in nonprofit or mission driven organizational work required
. Demonstrated success in fundraising campaigns and communications planning and execution
. Superior interpersonal and communication skills
. Excellent writer with the ability to inspire and communicate with diverse audiences
. Meticulous organizational skills, ability to prioritize projects and follow through on detail with accuracy
. A self starter, invested in leadership and continued growth
. Familiarity with mass email and Google analytics
. Excellent technical skills: expertise with Google Suite, Excel, Campaign Monitor, Salesforce or similar preferred
. Confident, articulate and motivated
. Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
