Administrative Assistant

Congregation Beth Shalom of Clearwater is looking for a top-flight Administrative Assistant. This full-time position supports the Rabbis, Synagogue Administrator, Board Officers and all visitors to the congregation office by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, creating flyers, brochures and other desktop publications, and generally being a supportive presence in the workplace. It reports directly to the Synagogue Administrator.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior administrative experience.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and utilize discretion
• Be a team player with an optimistic attitude with the ability to multi-task, and work well under pressure
• Knowledge of Judaism or willingness to learn about Jewish practices and customs
• Excel at both verbal and written communication.
• Computer literacy with an emphasis on desktop publishing

Most importantly, the Administrative Assistant should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.
