smarTours is looking for an exceptional, experienced sales manager to join our team and work with our JCC private group clients. This role is critical to expanding our relationships with high value private groups as well as finding new clients who can benefit from our tours.

About the team
smarTours is a small, cohesive team of high energy individuals with a passion for travel, a customer experience focus and a strong desire to rebuild in the coming years.


Our private groups team focuses on selling and delivering smarTours guided tours to groups of 20 or more travelers. Groups range from family members to affinity and religious organizations who may use the tours for fundraising or community building.


Responsibilities
This role is responsible for expanding relationships among existing private group clients as well as identifying new sectors/clients who will be appropriate for our tours. Specifics include:

Maintain a positive working relationship with existing group leaders, identifying those who will repeat trips with us
Within a sector, identify prospective clients and coach them through the process of developing successful tours
Develop proposals based on clients needs and tour supply offerings
Work with account manager and supply team to finalize pricing and deliver the tour; this includes interacting with airlines and ground operators & managing to deadlines
Develop and manage lifecycle communications with the group including outreach to all opportunities on a scheduled basis

Qualifications
5-7 years of experience as an inside/outside sales rep in the travel industry
Experience building and maintaining a strong book of business
Experience working with one of our key sectors including: Jewish Community Centers
Demonstrated track-record of meeting or exceeding personal and professional goals
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience working independently to plan, organize and prioritize work
Highly organized and detail oriented
Affinity towards working with new types of technology including booking and CRM systems; web savvy a must
Strong work ethic
