When you work for Moishe House (pronounced moy-shuh), you become a part of something BIG: a global nonprofit that builds peer-led Jewish communities for young adults around the world! Founded in 2006, Moishe House funds, trains, and educates young adults to create pluralistic, inclusive, and welcoming Jewish communities as House Residents, MHWOW Hosts, and Peer-Led-Retreat Facilitators. To date, there are more than 140 Moishe House communities in over 30 countries, and we’re still growing!
Moishe House seeks a Director of Immersive Experiences who will play a pivotal role in executing our educational vision and overseeing the development of creative, fun immersive experiences. Currently, Moishe House curates three different kinds of immersive learning experiences: (1) Staff-Led Retreats (SLRs), (2) Retreatology and Peer-Led Retreats (PLRs), and (3) Camp Nai Nai Nai, ranging in size from serving a dozen to thirty-five to three hundred participants, and all setting the standards and foundations that underlie the organization’s intentional gatherings for our constituents. This role provides an opportunity to lead the high-performing team responsible for these 3 programs, develop original ideas, create streamlined processes, and innovate on behalf of Moishe House in a fun, and ever-changing environment. The position reports to Moishe House’s Director of Jewish Learning.

You’ll drive operational efficiency within the department, and lead a high performing/cross-functional team through:
Leading your team to build the appropriate work-streams to achieve strategic goals and enable programmatic excellence for our constituents.
Working with your team to conduct data analysis, build reporting and analytical tools, and deliver programmatic insights to the department.
Focusing on all aspects of the Peer-Led Retreat (PLR) program, from planning and facilitating at least 3 Retreatology training per year to coaching and guiding the development of the PLR team.
You have a Bachelor’s degree; additional 4 years of full-time relevant experience may be substituted for the degree.
You have a minimum of 5 years’ post-undergraduate full-time professional experience, including significant demonstration of programming, management, communications, project management, coaching, and leadership skills.
You have a minimum of 3 years of full-time direct supervisory, performance management, and team leadership experience in a professional setting (preferably managing multiple layers).
You have experience leading cross-functional projects and managing project teams, including confirming resourcing, assigning individual responsibilities, managing budgets, and monitoring progress/deliverables, across multiple geographies.
You have a sixth sense, the ability to see around corners, anticipate programmatic needs, and solve possible problems before they happen.
You have experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment, where you have demonstrated the ability to innovate, take calculated risks, and learn from situations when things don’t turn out as planned.
You bring a high level of proficiency in MS Office Suite and Google Workspace.
You are eligible to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

How Moishe House Pays You:
Starting salary range is based on location and assuming you meet the minimum requirements:
Encinitas, CA, Chicago, IL, Washington, DC: $80,000-$85,000
Charlotte, NC: $70,000-$75,000
Annual merit-based salary increase
