Programming and Communications Manager

NCJW is looking for an experienced Manager to be a key partner on the NCJW team! The ideal candidate will be committed to the NCJW mission and values, will bring relevant experience to this job, and will contribute to NCJW’s programs. The Manager is an ambassador for NCJW in the community - to donors, partners, and volunteers.

With Directors and volunteer leadership, create and execute meaningful programming engagement opportunities:
Support staff and volunteers in developing educational content for virtual and in-person programs related to the organization’s social justice mission and programming priorities
Establish and deepen relationships with organizational partners both inside and outside the Jewish community within an allyship model
Manage and grow the NCJW Leadership Development Program - currently focused on emerging Jewish women leaders - by working with a committee of volunteers to create and implement an updated curriculum and engagement strategy for new participants and alumni
Create and implement a strategy for recruiting volunteers and advocates to participate in NCJW educational programs, advocacy work, and direct service opportunities
Support emerging programmatic needs as priorities evolve at the local and National NCJW levels
Support and implement a communications strategy, in collaboration with Directors, outside consultants, and volunteer leaders, including:

Develop monthly newsletters and events emails, including writing & editing content and creating layout
Prepare press releases and manage website updates
Support creation and management of social media posts and accounts
Create documents using Adobe graphic design software, including invitations, advertisements, annual reports, etc. Training is available if needed.

The ideal candidate has:
A personal and professional commitment to social justice and operationalizing the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion
A passion for non-profit values and an understanding of non-profit business operations
At least 3 years relevant experience, event/volunteer engagement; online event management experience a plus
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy coupled with strong project management capability
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Ability to build rapport quickly
A creative, strategic approach to building partnerships
Familiarity with database management
Ability to act with integrity and professionalism
Strong technical skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, G-Suite applications, and virtual conference technology. Adobe graphic design software experience preferred
Advanced organizational and planning skills
Proven ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask with limited supervision
Ability to coordinate activities and see a project through from start to finish
Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, flexible with the ability to adapt to change
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Capacity to work occasional evenings and weekends
Ability to work independently, either in the office or remotely, depending on needs of the organization
Pennsylvania Children Protection Law certifications (or must obtain)

$45,000 - $50,000 annual salary with generous healthcare and PTO benefits
