Position Summary:

Yeshiva University is seeking an independent, motivated advancement professional for the role of Yeshiva College and Stern College Director or Associate Director of Institutional Advancement. (The level of the role will be commensurate with candidate's experience.) This person will manage YC/Stern philanthropic efforts, including annual giving, Board management, campaign planning, related engagement and fundraising initiatives. The Associate Director will partner with the YU IA team to plan, develop, and implement a strategy around parts of the Yeshiva University undergraduate colleges that includes raising funds from parents, alumni and stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

YC and Stern Boards Team Strategy:

• Manage philanthropic efforts of both the Yeshiva and Stern College Boards on annual and multiyear fundraising strategies, identifying, cultivating and soliciting new donors
• Manage the execution of Board Meetings, including setting agenda with the Chairman of the Board and the Dean
• Build relationship with Board members
• Work with current Board members to increase giving for particular projects and annual gifts.
IA
• Help identify parents/alumni and potential donors and other potential donors with capacity, and work with and identify potential funding possibilities with these constituencies
• Meet with Dean Karen Bacon bi-monthly. Help get the dean in front of donors when applicable
• Work with Dean Bacon to identify appropriate funding opportunities at all levels for board members and other potential donors and stakeholders
• Manage a portfolio including parents, alumni and stakeholders
• Analyze past successes, data and protocols in order to suggest and carry out initiatives that cause Yeshiva College and Stern College to function best
• Liaison and partner with the larger YU IA team
• Portfolio of 150 people, made up of board members, and current donors, parents, alumni and stakeholders

Annual Metrics:

• 150-person portfolio
• 125 in-person visits (or Zoom calls)
• 250 contact reports on top of that
• 1 seven-figure solicitation, 6 six-figure solicitations, 10 five-figure solicitations

Experience & Educational Background:

• A Bachelor's degree
• At least five years of fundraising experience

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with impeccable attention to detail
• Curiosity about people and their philanthropic goals
• Collegiality when working with colleagues across the university
• Ability to work independently
• Knowledge of Yeshiva University, its undergraduate programs, and the Modern Orthodox community is a plus
