Shabbat Morning Service Leader
Congregation Kehillath Israel of Brookline, MA is a Conservative synagogue that actively embraces individuals, our community, and the world. Rooted in tradition yet innovative in practice, KI strives to be an inclusive center religiously and ideologically. With a century-long legacy as a prominent voice throughout North American Jewish life, we are approaching our next century through synergetic partnerships with other religious organizations, social, and community partners.
KI is seeking a Jewish Educator to lead Shabbat Youth Services/ programming on Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30 am for the remainder of the 2021 school year, with the possibility to extend into the summer and fall. We are seeking a service leader for Mini Minyan, our service for children ages 5-8. Responsibilities will include planning and leading the group in activities, prayers, song, and movement. Although the services are currently held on Zoom, activities should be Shomer Shabbat friendly. As Massachusetts regulations allow and as the weather improves, we would like to transition into planning occasional in-person, covid- safe, outdoor meetings, and therefore preference will be given to local applicants. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and engaging, with experience in Jewish education. Interested candidates should send their resume and a brief cover letter to Lisa Redisch, Director of Family Engagement, at [email protected]
