Tifereth Israel, an Orthodox Shul, is searching for a talented individual that would coordinate a variety of essential Shul functions, working 15-20 hours per week . We are looking to hire a well organized person who can multitask. Clear communication with the Shul administration, the congregants, prospective renters, and janitorial staff is a key part of this position. The Office Manager & Events Coordinator will work independently and report to the Shul president. A large majority of the work for this position may be performed remotely with flexible hours, but there is a requirement to be onsite at the Shul 3 to 5 times per week to handle all incoming mail and packages, write checks to pay bills, give tours of the Shul, and perform other similar tasks.
The candidate would be bright, have strong writing skills, be able to perform basic accounting and be comfortable with using a computer and word processing.
Preferred background and experience would include office management, having successfully coordinated events/programs and / or accounting/finance and experience. Familiarity with ShulCloud and QuickBooks would be a major plus.
