Sunday Judaics Teachers- Bellevue and Seattle

We are an innovative, forward thinking religious school that is looking to find teachers who are interested in sharing their love of Judaism and desire to create a strong community of students. Our goal is to provide a strong supportive environment for teachers doing this important work.

We pay $22-$30/hr depending on experience and pay extra for the time you spend preparing for class. We value the extra time and effort you put into making your classes interactive and dynamic. Sunday teachers work between 5-8 hrs a week.

Our program runs 9:30-12noon on Sunday mornings and teachers are expected to be on site from 8:45-12:15pm. We are in person for this coming year. No hybrid classes.

Teaching credentials not necessary. Ability to communicate with kids is our top priority!

Open positions:
Bellevue Campus - Kindergarten, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade
Seattle- Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 5th grade, 7th grade

We are also looking for Wednesday in person 6th grade Hebrew in Bellevue, and substitutes that are available on Sunday for one or both campuses.

What YOU Bring:
Come to us with some knowledge of Jewish values, Jewish history, Jewish holidays, or Jewish text (depending on position) and we will give you what you need to be successful!

• Love of working with children, and be personally enthusiastic about Judaism.
• Desire to instill pride in your students.
• Compassionate approach and desire to create positive relationships with each of your students.
• Willingness to employ creative methods to reach all learners.
• Willingness to work with supervisor to achieve maximum performance in the classroom.
• Ability to collaborate with other grade level teachers.
• Desire to maintain a warm, safe, organized and dynamic classroom environment that encourages inquiry and curiosity.
• Ability to foster respect for others, a commitment to Jewish values, and Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).
• Desire for ongoing learning.
• Ability to foster student collaboration.

Unique talents or interests are welcome! Singers and guitar players, those with artistic or culinary talents, teachers who love the outdoors and/or have camp counselor experience, those with technical/social media skills, and teachers who can involve students and parents in social action projects are a plus!
