Ohev Sholom- The National Synagogue, a vibrant 300-member Modern Orthodox congregation in Washington, DC, is seeking a part-time youth program coordinator to oversee the design, implementation, and delivery of religious and social programming for one or more designated age ranges (0-5, grades k-5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12).
In this position the coordinator will work with clergy, the youth director, youth educator, and leadership to design and implement programming.
-With support from the youth director, create and implement programming for one or more designated age ranges (0-5, grades k-5, grades 6-8, grades 9-12)
-Engage with parents and kids to identify needs and create programs to address
-Develop and lead social and religious programs across the week, including one off and recurring programs
-May be required help with Shabbat programming
-Bachelors degree or current college student
-Experience working in Jewish programming whether camp, school, or synagogue setting
-Experience working with kids of the applicable age range
