Youth Advisor

Temple Sinai in Brookline, MA, a vibrant and progressive urban congregation, is seeking a part-
time Youth Advisor. This is an opportunity to work with a group of teens who care about their
learning, each other, and giving back to the world. The Youth Advisor’s role is to strengthen our
youth group, while keeping students in Grades 9 – 12 involved and engaged. In this role, the
Youth Advisor will establish meaningful relationships with teens in the context of being an adult
Jewish role model. The Youth Advisor reports directly to the Assistant Rabbi.

The Youth Advisor also supervises our full-service teen-operated ‘Java Nagila’ café, open for
two hours every Sunday morning on religious school days. Working as a team, our teen baristas
run the café as a community-building project for the Temple, serving coffee and drinks to
religious school families and adult learners.

The position is flexible and can be anywhere from 3-10 hours/week from late August 2021 through June. The majority of
program hours are on Sundays.
