Living Judaism, the Sunday experiential learning program for grades TK-12 at University Synagogue in Irvine, CA, is looking for a creative, passionate, and caring educator for the 2021-2022 learning year. We are seeking a part-time Hebrew teacher (grades 4-6) for our one-day-a-week innovative Religious School. Classes meet on Sunday 9:00am-12:00pm. The learning year begins Sunday, September 19, and runs through the first week in May.
The ideal candidate is able to connect with students who have different learning styles, is comfortable teaching prayerbook Hebrew, is flexible and able to adapt lessons to fit the needs of the students, and enjoys utilizing games in Hebrew reinforcement.
Hourly rate based on experience and is competitive.
