Operations Manager

To be successful in this role you will need excellent communication skills, both written and oral, the ability and willingness to collaborate, be flexible within your own time management and possess a positive attitude. Because this position has a diverse range of responsibilities, you will need to be highly organized. Experience with ShulCloud is highly desirable as well as knowledge of Jewish culture and rituals.
This position reports to the Senior Rabbi and Temple President.

Position responsibilities:

Communication with Congregation
Tidbits-weekly newsletter
Update and send out weekly
Shabbat Reminder Emails
Update and send out weekly
Yahrzeit emails
Send weekly Yahrzeit emails
Death Notice Emails
Reach out to family to gather pertinent information
Create Zoom links for services
Send out email to congregation
Meeting Reminder Emails
Staff Meeting reminder emails
Class reminder emails

Facebook
TBT Facebook page & TBT Facebook group
Updating Information Online
ShulCloud administration
Weekly editing and retrieval of important dates as they relate to congregants

B’nai Mitzvah
Work with family to secure a date for BM, confirm date, sign document
Order Torah portion book online
Communicate logistics with family
Respond to family’s needs/requests
Communicate set-up with custodian
Ensure there is custodial presence on the day of the BM
Ensure BM receives the gift from TBT & Sisterhood
Any miscellaneous tasks on the day of the BM

Funerals
Reach out to family for information needed in the congregational notice email
Set up Zoom link for funeral service and/or shiva
Send out email to congregation
Manage Zoom during funeral service
Record service and send to family afterwards
Ensure messages sent in the chat is received by family
Assist with technical difficulties/assist those struggling to get access

Membership
Follow up with potential new members
Answer questions pertaining to membership

Miscellaneous
Assisting Board of Directors with various projects, including communication
Respond to various questions and requests from congregants
Assist members with ShulCloud issues
Coordinate with Community Organizer regarding operational needs
Coordinate with ECLC regarding operational needs
Communicate donor information for donor recognition/thank you
