The Jewish Center is a vibrant and dynamic Modern Orthodox synagogue and social center located in the heart of Manhattan's Upper West Side. A flagship for Modern Orthodoxy in New York City, we offer a full complement of classes, lecture series and social programming for all ages and stages of life, along with a full schedule of weekly and Shabbat services.
We are seeking a full time Program Coordinator. This high-visibility member of the administrative staff must be organized and outgoing and will assist the Clergy, Executive Director, lay leadership and broader membership to implement religious, social, cultural and recreational programming.
In-house production, design and copy of visual and print publications, including daily announcements, weekly bulletins, fliers, and signage
Creation and dissemination of materials for the annual calendar featuring events related to religious holidays, thematic programming, and community outreach
Coordination of programming logistics
Professional programming liaison to lay committee chairs including initiating new programming ideas
General and administrative office support
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask
Strong follow-through and attention to detail; proven ability to set and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proactive work style and proven ability to take initiative
Flexibility and ability to work independently and as a team player with a wide range of constituents and colleagues
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Graphic design experience desired but not a requirement
Salary commensurate with experience.
