Shir Ami, a vibrant Reform Congregation in Newtown, PA is looking for an energetic, detail oriented, organized individual to join our administrative support and engagement team. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment to support the professional staff and will take initiative to create meaningful engagement opportunities. Shir Ami is looking for someone who is proficient on Social Media platforms and is a self starter. Basic knowledge of the annual Jewish calendar and life cycle events is recommended. a. Coordinate all aspects of the new member onboarding experience and input into database
b. Coordinate with the membership committee new member events
c. Maintain membership records and manage membership accounts in the website database
a. Website management and upkeep
b. Gather materials for monthly newsletter
c. Prepare weekly email communications with congregation
d. prepare Congregational emails for lifecycle events, holidays, etc.
e. Markey events through Social Media posting
f. Coordinate all information between website, newsletters and social media
g. Respond to congregants’ phone calls and emails
a. Manage donations/dedications and billing with Director of Operations
b. Manage hand check recording
c. Coding and filing invoices
d. Send out donation acknowledgements
e. Maintain fundraising database
a. Provide administrative support for congregational auxiliaries including; Men’s Club, Women of Shir Ami, Shir Ami Active Adult Kehillah, Sunday Brunch Program.
b. Provide administrative support for committees including the Board of Directors, Membership Committee, Fundraising Committee, Ritual, etc.
c. Assist with congregational events such as Purim baskets, retirement celebrations, Annual meetings, fundraising events, hamantashen bake sales, etc.
d. Prepare forms and registration info for congregational events
e. Manage registration for events
f. Communicate calendar needs with maintenance
