Mental Health Clinical Director

Mental Health Clinical Director (30-35 hours fulltime)
Dynamic LCSW with proven leadership skills, strong clinical skills and positive attitude to lead a growing mental health department serving children and adults in small family service agency in New Haven.
The right candidate will have exceptional organizational and administrative skills and understanding of regulatory compliance. Experience and comfort to engage in community outreach to help increase agency’s ability to provide services to more people in need of therapeutic intervention. Experience in direct supervision of clinical staff and MSW students important.
Clinical experience with children and adults as well as groups required. Includes a small caseload.
Bi-lingual a plus.

-Directs, develops, monitors and supervises the agency clinical mental health unit

-Responsible for all oversight of regulatory compliance and re-licensing of the mental health clinic


-Evaluates the quality of practice in unit and maintains professional standards of conduct and performance

-Community outreach to grow and enhance the programs, within Jewish and local community

-Public speaking as necessary to grow and enhance program and agency


-Monitors assigned responsibilities of team

-Directs and coordinates Agency’s use of adult and child psychiatric consultations

-Coordinates the Agency’s activities with universities related to student training at the
Agency

-Administers and coordinates internal agency procedures related to service delivery,
including intake procedures, records, and annual evaluation of staff

-Consults and collaborates with agency grant writer and CEO about grant opportunities

-Consults with CEO in hiring social work personnel

-Maintains limited caseload

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

LCSW and several years of supervision experience
References, local and state police clearances, DMV clearance, DCF clearance, health form completed and COVID vaccinations required
