About the Position:
The Shefa School is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Hebrew Teacher for September 2021 to teach in the Elementary and Middle School.
The Hebrew Teacher will be responsible for developing curriculum and teaching Hebrew as a second language. In addition to developing curriculum and delivering instruction, he/she will be responsible for assessing student learning, managing classroom routines and behavior, building relationships and communicating regularly with families, and collaborating with other faculty.
The ideal candidate will have a native or near-native level of fluency in Hebrew, depth of training and expertise in teaching Hebrew as a second language and experience using multisensory Orton-Gillingham instruction and in working with students with language-based learning disabilities. Candidates should demonstrate flexibility and comfort with risk-taking and ambiguity. We seek teachers who thrive in highly collaborative environments, who are reflective and committed to growth, and who have strong communication skills. Applicants must have at least 3 years of teaching experience and the ability and willingness to work with students in various group settings, using multiple teaching methods.
