Hebrew and Jewish Studies Teacher

Upper School Hebrew Language Teachers
The Schechter School of Long Island is seeking full-time Hebrew teachers for grades 6-8 and 9-12 for the 2021-22 school year.
Candidates will be team oriented and should:
- Have at least 2-3 years of experience teaching the Hebrew language.
- Be a native Hebrew speaker.
- Have experience in recognized standards of language instruction.
- Have mastery in multiple approaches to Hebrew instruction, and be able to differentiate instruction across all grade levels.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; a teaching credential from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.
- Demonstrate good classroom management skills.
- Be committed to meaningful collaboration with colleagues.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and commitment to keeping parents informed and engaged.
- Be interested in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience with the Bishvil Haivrit Hebrew curriculum preferred.


Lower School Jewish Studies/Hebrew Language Teachers
The Schechter School of Long Island is seeking full-time Jewish Studies/Hebrew Language teachers for grades 1-5 for the 2021-22 school year.
Candidates will be team oriented and should:
- Have at least 2-3 years of experience teaching the Hebrew language.
- Be a native Hebrew speaker.
- Have experience in recognized standards of language instruction.
- Have mastery in multiple approaches to Hebrew instruction and be able to differentiate instruction across all grade levels.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree; a teaching credential from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.

- Be experienced in teaching Tefillah, Chaggim, Chumash/Parashat haShavua.
