Job Summary
TOP Jewish Foundation is seeking a Development Associate to join our dynamic and growing organization. The Development Associate is responsible for supporting development, donor relations, marketing, and general office functions. As an integral part of the small, but mighty staff, the Development Associate will participate in all team, board and planning meetings. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, adaptive, personable, and enthusiastic individual. The Development Associate should have a track record of professional success in a marketing or development setting with a client/donor centered focus. The candidate should be a self-starter and be able to manage multiple priorities independently.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Communicate directly with donors, community, prospective donors, board and staff
• Provide marketing and development support to professional staff
• Assist with content creation and edits to website, eBlasts, eNewsletters , advertisements, marketing collateral, press releases, video conferencing, social media, and surveys
• Support legacy program including documentation and tracking systems
• Support accounting staff including gift and grant processing activities
• Board meeting support
• General office support functions
• Assist with special projects, events and other duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s Degree; 1-3 years of professional work experience
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively
• Attention to detail and proven ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
• Demonstrates capacity to multitask, stay organized and proactively manage workflow to meet deadlines
• Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, web management, donor database preferred
• Marketing and graphic design abilities a great plus
• Ability to learn new systems quickly
• Knowledge of Jewish customs preferred
• Willingness to work additional hours as required
