The Jewish Federation of Greater Orange County (JFOGOC) seeks a dynamic leader focused on cultivating relationships to be its next Executive Director. A top candidate will be a sophisticated community organizer, strategic fundraiser and will thrive on building a meaningful, relevant and inclusive Jewish community. The Executive Director will have the opportunity to envision with the Board of Trustees and Jewish community at large what a diverse, multifaceted Jewish agency can offer the county. Together they will create new and strategic ways to help the Federation move to its next phase of success. The Executive Director is the public face of the Jewish Federation, and thus a major representative of the Jewish community in Orange County. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board of Trustees and its elected Board President. Responsibilities include management of the Federation, implementation of planning efforts, fiscal management, staff management, fundraising, Board engagement and community partnerships. The Executive Director works in close partnership with the Federation Board of Trustees and acts as the strategic liaison and convener of partnerships with the Jewish community’s religious institutions, organizations and activities as well as the greater Orange County and national communities. Candidates must have a commitment to Jewish pluralism, familiarity with Jewish traditions and values, and have an understanding of contemporary Jewish life.
