HAMSA Substance Abuse Program Manager

JF&CS seeks a HAMSA Substance Abuse Program Manager.

PURPOSE: To provide leadership, vision, and an evolving strategy for growth for the HAMSA program and staff and the execution of our mission and intended impact.
• Oversee and manage HAMSA staff including a program coordinator and therapist (clinical supervision by clinical director).
• Coordinate awareness, prevention, educational and outreach programs to address SUD and recovery in the Jewish community through partnerships and collaborations with Jewish organizations.
• Develop and coordinate programs and services to promote recovery and increase access to treatment.
• Create and implement strategies to increase program impact and promote sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for overall leadership, vision, and management of HAMSA program, developing an intended impact and strategy for achieving it.
• Lead the implementation of strategic program plans that support program goals.
• Financial management and oversight of budget.
• Manage staff to a high level of client satisfaction and promote professional development.
• Oversee and facilitate program planning and maintenance including ongoing assessment of the community’s needs to ensure relevance of programming, continually assessing metrics of success.
• Partner with Jewish and other community partners to design, coordinate and present activities which promote awareness and minimize the stigma of addiction and recovery.
• Plan and oversee professional development opportunities for clinical staff to enhance their ability to counsel individuals and families as it relates to addiction and recovery.
• Serve as key liaison with synagogue, school, youth group professionals and lay leadership to develop and maintain relationships and implement relevant and customized program plans for the Jewish community.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, institutions, organizations, and clinical resources in the behavioral health and recovery community.
• Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategy, including social media and event promotion.
• Oversee the development, tracking, and analysis of data and outcomes measures for all programs, using the information to modify programs accordingly.
• Liaise with grants and development departments to pursue and maintain grant funding.
• Work in coordination with HAMSA staff to maximize awareness and utilization of HAMSA and other JF&CS services.
• Represent HAMSA at community events and programming.
• Other duties as necessary.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong program strategy and planning skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Personnel management experience.
• Knowledge of the disease concept of addiction and familiarity with multiple modalities of treatment and paths to recovery (including but not limited to 12-step and other peer support programs, medication assisted treatment, and harm reduction).
• Strong networking and relationship development skills.
• Excellent project management, data collection and analysis, and organizational skills.
• Strong internal and external customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Skilled team player, effective working collaboratively both internally and externally.
• Ability to effectively manage and track multiple responsibilities at once.
• Sales and/or marketing experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel throughout metro Atlanta based on community and synagogue outreach needs.
• Ability to work outside normal business hours as needed.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of Judaism and Jewish values.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree required - preferably in education, clinical work, addiction, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience related to substance abuse training/counseling/advocacy
• Experience with public speaking.
• Management experience.
• Non-profit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Greater Atlanta business, and non-profit community preferred.
