Assistant Director of Development

Belev Echad is seeking a motivated, creative, and skilled assistant director of development to collaborate with the director of development to develop and execute strategic fundraising efforts, manage departmental staff when necessary, and work with the Board, and Program Directors to understand program needs. The key responsibility of the assistant director of development is to create key relations which expand funding bases and ensure that the targets of the organization are met. The Assistant Director plays a vital role in identifying and raising the funding necessary to help the organization grow and invest in existing and new programming, all aimed at increasing the opportunities and successes of our participants. The Assistant Director also oversees the marketing and communications strategy for the organization, including website and digital channels, along with an annual community event.

Responsibilities include

Planning and executing special fundraising events
Budget oversight
Cultivating relationships with and soliciting donors
Analyzing Data, confirming results, and brainstorming new campaigns
Assisting with fiscal reporting and presentations
Managing mail/online/email communications with donors, and securing sponsorships
Coordinating donor recognition activities such as receptions, and dedications.
Database/record management
Supervising those who maintain records, electronically or on paper, of all the organization's functions.
Coordinating the Annual Fundraising Gala

Candidate must have

Strong interpersonal and social skills
Organizational Skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel
The ability to read reports, gather and analyze data, and compile information for written reports
Effective communication skills, both orally and written
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum of two years of professional fundraising experience with proven success in cultivating and soliciting charitable gifts, and a demonstrated ability to manage committees and volunteer
