OFFICE MANAGER needed for East Midwood Jewish Center in Midwood Brooklyn:
Duties to include:
Job Type: Full-time
Position reports to Executive Director.
Assists the Rabbi & Educational Director with tasks
Answering phones and greeting members/customers at front desk.
Recording daily financial transactions in multiple computer programs.
Keeps track of all EMJC bills so they can be paid timely.
Tracks all EMJC membership billing/payments.
Good computer skills a must. A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Google
Docs/spreadsheets a must.
Strong customer service background a must.
Prior experience handling billing/payables a must.
Must be able to work independently on projects & handle multiple things at a time in a high
Knowledge of Square, Quick books and Chaverwear programs really helpful.
Previous experience working with a 3rd party bookkeeping firm and payroll company helpful.
Will have part time employees & interns reporting into this position.
Physical requirements: Ability to lift up to 20-pound boxes.
Nonprofit experience helpful.
A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in all the above areas preferred.
35 to 40-hour work week. (Weekdays), Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm w/ meal break.
$17 to $18/hr starting salary depending on experience. Full benefits available after 3 months
including health insurance.
Minimum of an Associate Degree a plus.
Must be a team player.
