Marketing/Communications Manager

American Society of the University of Haifa (ASUH) seeks an exceptional, results-oriented professional to be its Marketing/Communications Manager. The successful candidate will be dynamic and creative with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other ASUH and University of Haifa team members across the United States and globally. Reporting to the VP of Partnerships and Special Projects, the Marketing/Communications Manager will develop and execute strategy for ASUH’s general external communications including, but not limited to: annual campaigns, digital newsletters, brand adherence and elevation, email marketing, website management, donor-facing materials, and social media. The successful candidate will have five to seven years of marketing or communications experience. Fundraising experience is preferred. The Manager must understand and be committed to ASUH and University of Haifa’s mission of developing, sustaining, and securing Israel through education.

Key Responsibilities:
• In collaboration with the VP of Partnerships and Special Projects, develop long-term communications and marketing plans for engaging donors, prospects, university partners, and alumni
• Execute multi-year strategic marketing plans to support ASUH’s mission and fundraising goals
• Manage various channels of communications from University of Haifa and ASUH to external stakeholders
• Create content and design materials for emails, newsletters, brochures, mailings, event invitations, and other collateral
• Manage the marketing and communications flow for regular webinar events
• Design and implement templates and high-quality materials to elevate the organization’s brand across email and print communications
• Work closely with the senior staff on messaging strategy, materials, and events
• Maintain website content and structure
• Plan and create content for social media
• Maintain audience record-keeping and list segmentation through database integration of email marketing and events software (i.e., manage MailChimp overlay with Salesforce)
• Design printed martials and craft messaging for annual fund mailing
• Manage vendors for direct mail campaigns and print material creation
• Work with PR team to identify opportunities to promote the organization’s mission and lift the University’s profile
• Coordinate with University of Haifa to collect relevant stories and information
• Assist with alumni outreach and promote regular and consistent communication
• Assume other responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Five to seven years of success in marketing and communications, including fundraising campaigns and appeals
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing an external communications plan
• Experience with fundraising preferred
• Knowledge of web/email analytics collection and analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to craft effective messaging
• Confident and articulate; motivated self-starter
• Attention to detail and ability to edit collateral for clarity and grammar
• Ability to focus on big picture while implementing details of the broader plan on a day to day basis
• Computer literacy: expertise in email marketing systems, MailChimp or similar; experience with donor management database systems, knowledge of Salesforce a plus
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, basic design skills a plus; email marketing systems, MailChimp or similar; experience with donor management database systems, knowledge of Salesforce a plus
• Creative thinker with the ability to handle multiple projects with concurrent deadlines
• Knowledge of Israel’s philanthropic community and/or university philanthropy is a plus
