Assistant Director of Youth & Family Education

Romemu is looking for an Assistant Director of Youth & Family Education. This person will work closely with the Director of Youth & Family Education in the support and running of our Youth & Family programs. These include Seekers Holistic Hebrew School, our B Mitzvah program, family Shabbat services, family celebrations for the high holidays and other Jewish holidays throughout the year and an emerging teen program.

The Role & Responsibilities:
This position is both administrative and programmatic. It involves managing all the tasks that support the running of the department including email newsletters, data tracking, registrations and payments, B Mitzvah scheduling, and any other tasks that arise. It will also include taking on a role in the running of our Seekers Holistics Hebrew school, managing and training teachers, overseeing curriculum and working to enlarge and build out the program in partnership with the director. This position has the potential to grow and expand as our programs grow.

Qualifications :
An excellent candidate for this position should have significant experience in educational settings working with kids, families and teens, including in a synagogue Hebrew school. Excellent organizational skills are a must, as the job involves managing multiple projects at once and being a self-starter. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

Details:
The position could begin remote but will become, at least partly, in person by September 2021. Salary range is $50,000 - $60,000.
