Director of Hadar’s Children and Families Division

Hadar seeks a Director of the Children and Families Division. The Director will create and implement a comprehensive strategy for expanding and growing Hadar’s C&F Division, bringing to life Hadar’s ambitious and exciting vision for families. We seek an experienced Jewish education professional, with a sophisticated, collaborative, and creative approach; someone who excels at project management and engagement. This position will play a key role in producing and distributing Hadar’s C&F content in an effort to bring these resources to more families. The Director will work closely with the development team to maintain a fundraising portfolio for the C&F Division. This position will directly supervise the C&F Program Manager, and will work closely with many other teams in Hadar: Content, Communications, Engagement, Program, Development and Faculty.

This position reports directly to the President and Rosh Yeshiva and is based in New York.


- Develop and implement comprehensive strategy to expand the work and reach of the C&F Division
- Work closely with Rashei Yeshiva and executive team to set priorities and annual goals to work towards Hadar’s vision and mission
- Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships
- Manage C+F budget
- Directly supervise team (Children and Families Program Manager, future full time hires, and part-time teachers and contributors)

- Program
- Manage growing portfolio of C&F programs, including setting annual calendar and goals and conducting regular program assessment and adjustments
- Oversee growth of Hadar’s Tutoring Network

- Content
- Oversee the production of all C&F materials from the idea phase to distributable product, working closely with our Content team

- Marketing and Engagement
- Create engagement and recruitment strategy to meet numbers targets, working closely with engagement and communications teams
- Develop content marketing strategy for C&F materials
- Oversee brand management, including web marketing and production of brochures, merchandise and collateral

- Engage C&F donors and liaise with the Development team to meet fundraising goals

- Extensive experience within the field of Jewish education working with kids and families
- Deep understanding of and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of the Children and Families Division at Hadar
- Experienced project manager, able to bring big ideas to reality while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience running successful programs -- in person and virtually through Zoom
- Proven track record of establishing and implementing marketing and/or engagement campaign strategies with measurable results
- Strong writing/editing and verbal communication skills with an eye toward detail
- Team player with flexible, collaborative approach
