We are currently searching for a highly creative, innovative and experienced Digital Producer to join our dynamic team. The Digital Producer will be responsible for the production of video content and live-stream programming for a large synagogue with approximately 20-30 hours of digital content per week. A successful candidate will be able to work independently and also thrive as part of a collaborative, creative team. The position requires outstanding creative, production, technical and editing skills, as well as excellent organizational, project management and time management skills.
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the production of the projects assigned, including planning, shooting and editing video.
Conceptualize and produce videos to enhance the worship service experience. Video may include scripted and structured shoots, Temple events, show segments and live “TV” using platforms such as Zoom to bring together content from various live or pre-recorded sources. Video may be used on website, integrated into live broadcasts, Zoom meetings, and/or social media platforms.
Additional editing may include short form video utilizing graphics and effects integrating various elements including highlights, voice over, interview and external video footage.
Set up lighting, audio equipment, and camera, coordinate remote feeds, including multi-camera shoots.
Ability to mix music and choral selections in programs such as Garage Band or Acapella App.
Setup and execute Digital Live Stream Events from a streaming program (Ex. OBS - Open Broadcast Software or VMix) which includes loading of assets, switching of scenes, and working with hosting talent.
Work with the Communications department to ensure video, graphic and audio content is used effectively to manage our key messaging. Ensure quality and consistency in branding, creating promotional and story-telling digital media content.
Assists with live videography and sound of religious service including occasional weekend assignments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Excellent organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, and strong attention to detail;
Must be a self-starter and possess the ability to work both independently and with a team;
Approachable with the ability to maintain positive relationships at all levels of the organization;
Knowledge & experience in Adobe Suite - Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects;
Knowledge & experience with various camera equipment including webcams, digital interfaces, and video and sound mixing equipment;
Knowledge & demonstrated experience in digital streaming programs (Ex. OBS – Open Broadcast Software or VMix) and video conferencing platforms such as Zoom;
Knowledge & demonstrated experience with audio equipment including, microphone, mixers, digital interfaces, and recording equipment;
Knowledge of lighting, filters, and lenses;
Experience using Cinema 4D or related 3D animation software preferred;
Ability to maintain composure and exercise good judgment even under pressure;
Ability to maintain confidentiality;
Ability to travel between campuses and other locations outside of the Temple; and
Ability to work occasionally on nights and weekends is a requirement.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Film or Video Production or in similar fields is preferred;
3 + years of experience in video production and web or social media management required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to pull, push, stoop, bend, reach, regularly talk, hear, and sit or stand facing production-related equipment for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus and use dual monitors. Production shoots and post production preparation may require you to assist in carrying equipment or materials. Must be able to carry production-related equipment or materials up to 40 pounds and climb stairs that lead to or from your workplace.
The job is performed in an office or studio settings, and in remote production environments. This position is sometimes faced with interruptions and must interact with other staff on a regular basis. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
This position is flexible and with the opportunity to be considered as a full-time, part-time or a freelance applicant. This position is located on our Schaefer Family Campus in Boca Raton, Florida, and may at times be remote. All candidates must pass the required Level II criminal background screening and a drug test, in order to be considered for this position. Salary is commensurate with relevant work experience.
