Tri-State Campus Coordinator

The StandWithUs Campus Coordinator recruits, trains, and assists students to become successful leaders within their campus pro-Israel community via the creation of new or development of existing pro-Israel programs, public events, training conferences, materials, personalized mentorship, and more. The role also entails supporting students thoroughly as they encounter anti-Israel or antisemitic activity on campus. The Campus Coordinator helps represent StandWithUs to the greater community on campuses in their region and beyond, through outreach programs and fundraising activities that build the StandWithUs local profile.


Campus Work:
- Outreach to college students and professional staff on campus (Hillel/Chabad), as well as regionally-based professionals from other external organizations
- Maintain an active presence on campus and cultivate/maintain relationships with students on campus
- Instill a strong foundation and understanding of Israel’s history and current events with students
- Mentor students with leadership, program-planning, and communication skills
- Assist students in organizing campus programs that reach a wide variety of students
- Directly mentor and supervise StandWithUs Emerson Fellows in your region through formal biweekly calls, informal communication, and professional development sessions
- Travel to various campuses within the region and coordinate meetings with students, professional staff on the ground, and more
- Learn and lead StandWithUs workshops - both information-based and skill-based - and present those workshops to campuses and communities
- Recruit students for StandWithUs Emerson Fellowship, StandWithUs Conferences, and other leadership opportunities or programs
- Participate in StandWithUs conferences as a staff person, which includes leading designated workshops and presentations
- Document student activities and other important campus milestones within the established tracking systems
- Maintain open communication with rest of campus staff and participate in conference calls
- Coordinate efforts among relevant StandWithUs departments to best serve the campus community


Community Responsibilities:
- Keep local StandWithUs community chapter updated with recent campus activities
- Establish relationships with local community leaders
- Meet with local donors to support your programming
- Network with local synagogues, churches, federations, and other community stakeholders and offer yourself as a speaker
- Be available for media interviews and coordinate with the StandWithUs media department

Qualifications:
- Degree from 4-year college or university
- Demonstrated project management, supervisory, and time management skills
- Computer literacy, including proficiency with MS Office and internet applications like Zoom and Google Drive
- Knowledge of Israel’s history, culture, and current affairs
- Passion for Israel activism and leadership
- Experience in campus activism and leadership
- Experience with mentoring others
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented, self-motivated and self-starting, organized, reliable, team player, proactive, strong work ethic, leadership skills; ability to multitask
- Position based in NYC
