The Abraham Joshua Heschel School is seeking a full time lower school speech and language specialist for grades 1-5 for the 2021-22 school year.
School-based responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching small 3rd and 4th grade reading groups with a focus on language, providing push-in support/team teaching during reading & humanities for grades 2-5, informally screening individual students, and collaborating with classroom teachers and other learning specialists to embed language goals into the curriculum and provide guidance for supporting students in the classroom.
Graduate degree in speech-language pathology or related and at least 2 years of school-based experience is required. Must have CCC-SLP and TSSLD.
