Jewish Community Partners (JCP) is a nonprofit operating corporation established in 2015 to operate and manage two-pillar organizations in the Memphis Jewish community: Memphis Jewish Federation and the Jewish Foundation of Memphis. This operating model has allowed the community to jointly address the long-term needs of the Jewish community locally, in Israel, and across the globe as a single streamlined and efficient operation.

JCP is seeking an accomplished Director of Outreach and Leadership Engagement. This key professional will build leadership and serve as a connector/bridge from all engagement programs & committees to leadership and philanthropy.

• You have an engaging passion and energy for developing Jewish leaders and volunteers
• You are an easy-going connector who builds and fosters relationships with a broad
spectrum of people at different stages in their lives
• You create and contribute to strategic visioning with the ability to activate and implement.
• You have a strong aptitude for detail, organization, and prioritization, able to
manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet high-pressure deadlines
• You are an effective communicator in all situations, whether one-on-one or to an
audience
• You have diplomatic and motivational management and supervisory style

What you will do:
• Create onboarding structure of lay leaders to Memphis Jewish Federation (board, committees, task forces)
• Actively recruit and onboard young adults and strengthen young adult leadership, education, and philanthropy

• Create a network of Board Ambassadors for newcomers to Memphis to connect them to existing social networks, Federation, and the
Jewish community
• Build a continuum of volunteer opportunities at all life stages to connect, engage and develop Jewish community leaders and donors
• Formalize and strengthen our existing Mentor/Mentee initiative
• Expand our Kay Usdan Saslawsky (KUS) Leadership Institute into an annual intensive leadership development program with post-program
mentoring, support, and follow-up
• Establish and lead Emerging Leaders/New Leaders Cohorts for ongoing training, mentoring, resource-sharing
• Serve as a resource for community-wide board training and governance
• Collaborate with community agencies to identify and place potential leaders
• Connect emerging leaders to leadership development programs in Memphis and beyond

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in nonprofit leadership development
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Commitment to working collaboratively across different lines, including race, class, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and age
• Willingness to engage in professional development and remain current on best practices
• Personable, upbeat, helpful personality with a can-do attitude; customer service mindset, and demonstrated ability to use good judgment
and maintain confidentiality
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously while
adapting to frequent or unexpected changes
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work successfully with diverse audiences, i.e., staff, management, board members,
volunteers, donors, and vendors
