Irving Roth Holocaust Resource Center (IRHRC)
Temple Judea of Manhasset, NY
Temple Judea houses a center specifically devoted to Holocaust education for both the synagogue community itself, and for the larger Long Island and Queens community. Established in 1999, the Center, under the leadership of Irving Roth z”l, has been engaging and serving middle and high school age students, as well as college and adult students through educational programs and Survivor, and children of Survivor, testimonials. Mr. Roth, a Survivor himself, unfortunately passed away this year and it is our mission to keep his dream and vision alive with the assistance of the right person to now take over as Executive Director.
Temple Judea is seeking an energetic, creative, and personable individual dedicated to the building of a value-affirming community which is predicated on respect toward all human beings.
The IRHRC Director must be a collaborative leader, a highly skilled individual with diverse skills and experiences which are necessary to guide and lead a non-profit organization with a corps of dedicated volunteers.
Experience in the fields of education and the Holocaust are necessary. This individual will fulfill the organization’s mission by proactively and effectively advancing program development and promotion, as well as communicating with stakeholders to advance future programs. Fundraising responsibilities include grant writing, donor cultivation and solicitation and supervision of annual campaigns.
The Exec Director will be the public face of the IRHRC building strong relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and educators. The Executive Director is expected to expand the program and fundraising, as well as future direction of the organization.
The Exec Director reports directly to the Board of Trustees of Temple Judea and will work closely with the Board and the Clergy to develop and implement a strategic plan focused on growth in programming, revenue and operations.
