Director of Development

Position Summary:
The Director of Development develops and implements fundraising plans and alumni activities for Ma’ayanot High School for Girls. This includes the identification, cultivation and solicitation of gift prospects. Works with the Board, administrators and faculty to strategize fundraising, programming, plan special events, is instrumental in providing stewardship to donors and assists with alumni outreach and development. Plans fundraising events including an Annual Dinner and Alumni reunions. Designs community PR and communications plan to promote the marketing and branding of school.

-Develop and implement fundraising plans and solicit gifts
-Work with administrators, head of school, faculty, lay leaders and students to identify, cultivate prospects, and strategize solicitations
-Develop community facing PR and communications plan to support the school’s marketing and branding.
-Steward prospects and donors. Identify donor needs and responsibilities. Prepare and organize reports, letters, meetings, site visits and collateral materials. Follow up all meetings and events
-Demonstrated success in securing major gifts
-Cultivate and nurture relationships with individual board members. Plan agendas in tandem with Head of School and lay leaders. Create collateral materials for meetings, as needed
-Develop a comprehensive alumni program for the Ma’ayanot High School for Girls, including planning alumni events, coordinating reunions and overseeing alumni committee.
-Work to get students, alumni and parents involved. Set goals, agendas, meeting dates, materials, and follow up
-Recruit speakers for alumni events and other fundraising initiatives
-Help staff other school’s events
-Work with lay leaders to plan Annual Dinner
-Organize fundraising events such as scholarship campaigns, parent events, and other donor-based initiatives
-Research and cultivate grants from foundations involved with Jewish education and advancement of women’s secular and religious education

Experience & Educational Background:
-Bachelor's Degree
-5-7 years experience fundraising including working with donors and managing events

Ma’ayanot was established in 1996 as a school in which the values of Torah and yirat shamayaim inform all aspects of learning and personal growth, from the lessons learned in our classrooms and Beit Midrash, in our biology labs and our Maker Space, in our gymnasium, and our student lounge.
