Duration: Half-time (20 hours)

Since 2001, ISRAEL21c’s mission has been to improve and enhance Israel’s standing in the world by reporting on interesting and enlightening stories of the country that would otherwise go unnoticed or not make it onto the media landscape. The organization creates original content and seeks to disseminate it as widely as possible. ISRAEL21c works as a collaborative team with our co-workers scattered across America and in Israel.

The primary role of the Program Coordinator is to assist the Program Director in running ISRAEL21c’s Digital Ambassador Program. ISRAEL21c's Digital Ambassadors are student interns who are passionate about Israel and use social media to play an active role in engaging with and developing ISRAEL21c’s audience.

Our new Program Coordinator:

-Is organized and can manage multiple project timelines.

-Is energetic and enthusiastic.
-Possesses a strong work ethic and professional attitude.

Your job will focus on assisting the Digital Ambassador Program Director with the following:
-Recruitment of Ambassadors
-Maintain ongoing relationships with Ambassadors
-Assist with organizing trainings and meetings
-Record data as identified and needed on Ambassador reports, recruitment activities and progress, contact information, lists of Ambassadors and other data as needed
-Work with social media specialists and 21c journalists on making the program as successful as possible including skill-building and increasing the students’ relationship with and knowledge of Israel
-Assist with yearly evaluation of the program
-Assist in creating marketing collateral for the program
-Play an active role in the implementation of the Ambassadors’ yearly campaign
-Other tasks as needed

-1-3 years of relevant experience preferred
-Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Studies, Marketing, Communications, Jewish or Middle Eastern studies, or related field
-Knowledge of social media platforms, best practices, and website analytics.
-Detail-oriented, even in the midst of many tasks and competing priorities
-Team player – ability to remain flexible in the face of a changing landscape
-Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
-Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
-Understanding of and interest in ISRAEL21c’s mission

The Program Director will be your direct supervisor.
