We are an older egalitarian conservative congregation of primarily empty nesters with no Hebrew school. We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic leader who will lead Shabbat, holiday and prayer services, a rabbi under whose leadership congregational membership has either grown or held steady. Torah reading and singing ability is a plus. Outreach capabilities, adult religious education, visiting and calling the sick and participation in life cycle events are important. Should be willing to incorporate current events into divrei Torahs. The rabbi will also oversee the kosher kitchen. We have a part time cantor that generally will chant most of the Holiday special chanting/singing, including Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Minimum experience is 3-5 years, but more experience is preferred as we do have an older member population. Thank you for your consideration.
