Repair the World mobilizes Jews and their communities to take action to pursue a just world. We believe that service in support of social change is vital to a flourishing Jewish community and an inspired Jewish life. By 2030, Repair will inspire and catalyze one million acts of service towards repairing the world.
Repair the World operates direct programs in 13 communities across the country, including a full-time Fellowship, part-time Service Corps, and episodic service and learning opportunities to engage the broader community. Repair the World Baltimore supports grassroots local organizations working toward housing, food, education, and racial justice. Baltimore Repair was founded in 2013.

Position Overview
Repair is looking for a dynamic and organized Program Assistant to support service learning and volunteer opportunities in Baltimore. Responsibilities include creating and sending individual and mass communications, attending and participating in service programs, and supporting data collection and tracking.
This part-time non-exempt position will report to the Baltimore Repair’s City Director and work collaboratively and closely with Baltimore Repair fellows and local partners.

Position Responsibilities
Hold administrative responsibilities for Baltimore Repair’s cohort programs (~10 hours/week)
Assist with planning, communications, implementation and tracking of Bmore Bridge, Farm Crew, and up to one additional cohort program
Lead volunteers in programming (~4 hours/week)
Attend evening and weekend service opportunities as Repair representative, liaise with partners, facilitate learning for and connect with volunteers (roughly 2 events per month)
Carry out regular program and operations duties in support of Baltimore’s City Director (~1 hour/week)
Purchase office and event supplies
Create monthly digital newsletters
Monitor data collection and input
In collaboration with national team staff, research and create Jewish learning resources
Assist with program planning such as, developing action plans, coordinating with partners, and creating graphics

Position Requirements

Experience with service event management and/or leading service-learning conversations
Skilled at building relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences
Strong communication, organization and self-management skills
Basic proficiency with email, Google docs, and Salesforce
Sophisticated awareness of poverty, structural racism, power and privilege and ability to facilitate conversations around these issues with diverse groups in ways that empower and open people to learning

Compensation
This grant-funded, part-time position pays $24/hour with a maximum of 15 hours per week.
